We are OPEN tomorrow!! Normal School Day Friday, February 4, 2011 - Ski Trip ON too!

Dear Students, families, staff, and community members,

Pennoyer School will be open tomorrow!! Please allow for extra time in the morning and afternoon commute as some roads are still icy and snowy!!  Please use extra caution waiting for buses as some corners have high snow piles.

The Ski Trip is ON - students should leave equipment in the Board room as has been done in the past.

PS - Regarding the Pepsi Refresh Project, we did an IMPRESSIVE job, ranking 67 out of more than 1100 projects. While it was not enough to win at this time, it shows how wonderfully successful we can be when we work together! I'm proud of our placement.

The Pepsi project is changing and there are no "roll overs" as have been done in the past; a new Pepsi project is expected to be unveiled in the month of May - we'll be watching, and we may try to compete again??

Possible Snow Day on Wednesday???

Dear Pennoyer Community,

It seems like we may get hit with a big storm/blizzard that might affect school on Wednesday ... we're watching the news and we are communicating with area superintendents. If the weather really looks bad/unsafe, we will aim to make the call to open, close, or delay the start of school on Wednesday with as much advance notice as possible.

We will use the automated phone calling system to inform you about the decision, no later than 6:00am on Wednesday, and as soon before that as possible. We will also use our website, http://www.pennoyerschool.org, the Facebook Page and the Twitter Page to announce our plans. Depending upon the weather, we may make our decision tomorrow (Tuesday) to give everyone as much notice as possible.

We appreciate your support as these are often the most unpredictable calls to make!

Sincerely,

Mike, Sue, the Pennoyer Faculty & Staff
