Tomorrow instruction in all classes for all students will have a digital theme!
Principal Susan Miceli's brainchild, inspired by http://www.digitallearningday.org/, will take off on May 24, 2012 at historic Pennoyer School. Motivated by "best instructional practices" and engaged learning, Mrs. Miceli and the outstanding Pennoyer faculty and staff will jump into and out of "comfort zones" by taking instructional risks in some classes, by allowing students to "BYOD" bring their own technology devices (i.e. smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc.).
Other classrooms will benefit from the technology resources at the school. Thanks to funding from the PTC (Parent Teacher Council) and the Board of Education and the Norwood Park Township Trustees and other partnerships, Pennoyer students are able to learn with modern day tools that support and enrich daily learning activities!

Michael Lubelfeld Ed.D.The seventh grade Italian class presented a fashion show and car demonstration all by Italian designers. Students shared biographies of Dolce Gabbana, Ferrari, Gucci and Valentino. Students prepared mockups of the car designed by Ferrari and wore fashions by the A list Italian fashion designers.
Eighth grade students in Ms. DiVita's Italian class prepared menus and set the table for an Italian feast. Students were to order a meal speaking in Italian. The servers were only to speak and write in Italian. Students did a fantastic job and had a fun time doing so.
