PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS REQUIRED NOTICE FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
Whether it's peacetime or wartime, it's always important to teach our students that Veterans Day means more than just a day off from school. Patriotism is a value that must be taught and modeled for our young students. By taking some time to give this sentiment even deeper meaning in our classroom we held an assembly honoring our Veterans. Students participated in a variety of events some including singing songs incorporating the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines. We listened to some veterans that came to our school and spoke to us about what this day’s means to them. We gave thank you cards to those veterans present in honor of their heroism. Each student and visitor received a United States flag that they waved around as a celebration of thanks to our veterans. Thank you to all the veterans, students, parents, and teachers for all their help and support in recognizing the importance of Veteran’s Day.
